After much delay the makers of Karthi’s anticipated film Vaa Vaathiyaar have announced that the film will release in December this year.
Directed by Nalan Kumarasamy, the film also stars Krithi Shetty along with Sathyaraj and Rajkiran in prominent roles.
According to reports, the film revolves around a fan of legendary actor MGR, who is believed to be a reincarnation of MGR.
Karthi’s Vaa Vaathiyaar To Release On…
Vaa Vaathiyaar has music by Santhosh Narayanan in his third collaboration with Kumarasamy after Soodhu Kavvum (2013) and Kadhalum Kadandhu Pogum (2016). The rest of the technical team includes cinematographer George C Williams and editor Vetre Krishnan. The film is bankrolled by KE Gnanavel Raja under his banner, Studio Green productions.
Karthi was last seen in Meiyazhagan which also starred Arvind Swamy and Sri Divya, directed by C Prem Kumar. Apart from Vaa Vaathiyaar, he also has PS Mithran’s Sardar 2 set for release.
While the film’s release date for the film is yet to be announced, the digital rights of the film have already been sold. It has been reported that Prime Video has bagged the rights, and will release on the platform after the theatrical run.
