Siddhanth Kapoor, brother of actress Shraddha Kapoor, landed in a controversy in 2022. Four years ago, the Bollywood actor was arrested after Bengaluru police conducted a raid at a hotel. Siddhanth and two others were detained over allegations of drug consumption. A First Information Report (FIR) was filed against the actor and two others in this case. In the same year, Siddhanth had filed a plea to quash the FIR. The latest development is that the Karnataka High Court has reportedly dismissed the FIR filed against Kapoor. Read on to know more.
Siddhanth Kapoor gets relief in drug case?
According to Bar and Bench, the Karnataka High Court gave permission to quash the FIR against and further proceedings in the Bengaluru rave party drug case. The report further suggests that Justice M Nagaprasanna, in his July 9 ruling, found that the proseuction was solely based on unreliable urine tests conducted by a private laboratory.

For that matter, the Court also noted that procedural deficiences were found in the way the blood and urine samples were handled by the private hospital. As per the report, the police had earlier alleged that the Bollywood actor’s urine sample tested positive for cannabis and cocaine.
However, Siddhanth had apparently denied the accusations and claimed he didn’t knowingly consume drugs. After his arrest in 2022, Siddhanth was reportedly as no drugs were found on his person.

On the work front, Siddhanth made his Bollywood debut with Shootout at Wadala in 2013. Written and directed by Sanjay Gupta, the crime thriller featured him as Gyancho. Besides him, the star cast included John Abraham, Ronit Roy, Mahesh Manjrekar, Kangana Ranaut, and others. Post his acting debut, Kapoor worked on films like Ugly, Jazbaa, Paltan, Bombairiya, Chehre, Bhoot – Part One: The Haunted Ship, and more.

The actor also shared screen space with his sister Shraddha in Haseen Parkar. Directed by Apoorva Lakhia, the movie was theatrically released in 2017. Apart from doing films, Siddhanth has been done web shows like Bhaukaal and Mandala Murders. His last big screen project was Human Cocaine. Written and directed by Sarim Momin, the movie hit the silver screen on January 30 this year. Besides Kapoor, the movie featured Ishita Raj, Pushkar Jog, Zakir Hussain, and others.
