New Delhi: A Congress leader, Mateen Patel, flaunted guns while dancing to a popular song, ‘Fa9la,’ from the Dhurandhar movie. He has been courted and troubled by making a reel with a pistol and a gun.
The incident triggered widespread criticism as the video clip went viral on social media. It was a wedding reception at a marriage hall in Kalaburagi city, where a Congress leader came with his convoy.
In the video clip, Patel was seen holding a gun and dancing along with his friends. The Congress leader didn’t stop at just dancing; he also struck poses with guns while getting out of the car, seemingly attempting to showcase his influence and attempting to portray a flamboyant persona, but the act raised concerns over safety and law and order in a public function.
“A video has gone viral on social media showing a man flaunting arms. We know the person in the video. I have told officers to find out where the video was made and under which police station it falls,” Kalaburagi Police Commissioner Sharanappa S. D. told reporters on Tuesday.
The Police Commissioner, Sharanappa S D, said that if the firearms are found to be illegal, then actions will be taken under the Arms Act.
