The final result of Karnataka Civil Judge Recruitment Examination 2025 has come and in this, talented youth from different parts of the state have created a new record by becoming judges at a very young age. Karnataka High Court has released the final list of total 83 candidates. In this list, Sumant Manjunath Naik, resident of Sirsi, Karnataka has attracted everyone’s attention by securing second rank in the state. At the same time, three young lawyers from Dharwad are also ready to take over as judge.

Sumant Manjunath Naik, a resident of Heggedekatta in Sirsi tehsil of Uttara Kannada district, has brought glory to his locality by securing second rank in the Civil Judge examination. The special thing is that Sumanth has achieved this brilliant success in his very first attempt. His father Manjunath Naik is a government lawyer in Bengaluru Lokayukta and mother Sujatha Naik is also a lawyer. That is, they have inherited the understanding of law. Along with studies, Sumanth has always been ahead in other activities and his aim is to do something big in the field of law.
Three lawyers of Dharwad increased their prestige
Three members of Dharwad Bar Association have been elected judges at a very young age, due to which there is an atmosphere of happiness in the entire area.
Anirudh Rajeev Joshi (25): Anirudh, son of retired district judge Rajeev Joshi, has secured 17th rank in the state. He graduated from State Law University with 3 gold medals. Now he is ready to follow his father’s footsteps and serve the Judiciary.
Sudha Pattanshetty (24): Sudha, a resident of Balyal village of Nawalgund tehsil, comes from a farmer family. His hard work has paid off today. Sudha, who secured 27th rank in her first attempt, has become a big inspiration for rural girls. Becoming a judge at the age of just 24 makes his success even bigger.
Riteja Patil: Riteja, a resident of Hangal and brought up in Hubli, is the daughter of a retired district judge. He has secured 53rd rank in the state. He has achieved this big feat in his second attempt after completing LLM in 2024.
New expectations from young judges
Earlier in the judicial services, it was common to become a judge at the age of 30-35. But now 24-25 year old youth are sitting on the judge’s chair, which is expected to bring a new energy to the system. From daughters of farmer families to gold medalist youth becoming judges shows how much the level of education is improving in Karnataka.
