Karnataka Residential School Case: A ninth grade student has given birth to a child in a school toilet at a residential school in Shahapur. This incident has revealed the negligence of the school administration.
Karnataka Student Birth Child: At a residential school in Shahapur city in Yadgiri district, a student of ninth grade gave birth to a child in the school toilet on Wednesday afternoon. On receiving information about the incident, the student and child were admitted to the government hospital in Shahapur. Both are healthy. Local authorities first hidden the matter of giving birth to the student’s child, but the matter came to light after the Child Rights Protection Commission came to the notice. Commission member Shashidhar Kosambe told Asianet Suvarna News that instructions have been given to gather detailed reports and take cognizance of the case and register a case. Meanwhile, the head of the Residential School has surprised and contacted her parents when the student became pregnant. He has feared child marriage.

State Child Rights Protection Commission member Shashidhar Kosambe reacted to the matter, saying that the negligence of the officials of the Residential School is being held responsible for this shocking incident. This has had a serious impact on the privacy and health of the student. People are angry with the failure of the school administration and questions are being raised on the safety and lack of care of the students.

Shashidhar Kosambe, a member of the State Child Rights Protection Commission, said that in the case of giving birth to a ninth student’s child at a residential school in Shahapur in Yadgiri district, instructions have been given to take appropriate action against the Principal, Warden, Class Teacher and Staff Nurse of Residential School.
