Actress Karishma Tanna and her businessman husband, Varun Bangera, who earlier welcomed their first child, a baby boy, have now unveiled their son’s name on the auspicious occasion of Krishna Janmashtami, doubling the celebration. On September 4, 2026, the couple, in a joint post on Instagram, revealed the name of their newborn son—Ved Tanna Bangera —carrying the surnames of both parents.
However, the couple didn’t just reveal the name of their little prince but also explained its clear meaning. The picture shared in the post says Karishma and Varun’s son’s name is derived from Sanskrit, and explains, “The name ‘Veda’ means sacred knowledge, growth, or light of the Vedas. It is a Sanskrit name derived from the word “Veda,” which refers to the ancient sacred texts of Hinduism.”
In the caption, the couple wrote, “On the auspicious occasion of Janmashtami, with Kanha’s blessings, we lovingly introduce our little miracle. VED TANNA BANGERA. A name that means sacred knowledge, wisdom, and light. With all our love, Karishma & Varun.”
