Actress Karishma Tanna has revealed the name of her baby boy, whom she welcomed with husband Varun Bangera in July this year, introducing him as Ved Tanna Bangera.
The actress shared the announcement on Instagram on Friday, choosing the auspicious occasion of Janmashtami to reveal her son’s name. Explaining its significance, Karishma said the name represents sacred knowledge, wisdom and light.
“On the auspicious occasion of Janmashtami, with Kanha’s blessings, we lovingly introduce our little miracle… VED TANNA BANGERA. A name that means sacred knowledge, wisdom and light. With all our love, Karishma & Varun,” she wrote.
Karishma and Varun became parents to their first child on July 29. The couple announced the birth through a joint Instagram post, revealing that their son was born on the occasion of Guru Purnima.
They shared a monochrome photograph of a baby’s feet, with a tag bearing the words “he’s here” attached to the toes.
“It’s a boy! Karishma & Varun. Our greatest blessing. 29th July 2026,” the couple wrote in the caption.
In a separate message accompanying the post, they said their son was born on the “sacred day of Guru Purnima” and welcomed him into their world.
Karishma and Varun began dating in 2021 and married in Mumbai in 2022. The couple were introduced by fashion designer Manish Malhotra during a New Year’s Eve celebration, marking the beginning of their relationship.
Earlier, Karishma had looked back at memories from August 2025 while reflecting on how significant August 2026 had become following the arrival of the newest member of her family.
She shared a series of photographs from a picturesque holiday with Varun in 2025, along with pictures capturing her baby bump during the early phase of her pregnancy.
