- In 2015, JDU’s Bashistha Singh won and left Congress and other parties behind.
- Winner: Bashistha Singh (JDU)-57,018 votes
- Loser: Birendra Kumar Singh (RLSP)-44,111 votes
- Margin of victory: 12,907 votes

2010 Karghar Assembly elections: JDU’s continued dominance
- In 2010, JDU’s Ramdhani Singh won the Karghar seat.
- Winner: Ramdhani Singh (JDU)-54,190 votes
- Loser: Shivshankar Singh (LJP)-40,993 votes
- Margin of victory: 13,197 votes
