Kareena Kapoor Khan On Why She Urges Taimur And Jeh To Embrace Their Emotions
Speaking to the media at the event, Kareena Kapoor Khan said that being a mother of two boys naturally makes her want to protect them while also teaching them to be responsible and kind. “At the end of the day, I’m a mother of two sons and of course, I’m terrified because as a mother, you kind of want to do your best, you want to protect them, you want to also show them a side that they are responsible. So the only thing I keep praying for is kindness. Men should be more kind, boys should be more kind,” she said. Kareena also spoke about the common belief that girls are naturally more sensitive than boys. She said that she does not agree with that idea and wants her sons to grow up without feeling that they need to hide their emotions. “Ye soch hamesha hai ke ladki hamesha bohot sensitive hoti hai, but that’s not true,” Kareena said. She added that boys should not feel ashamed of crying in front of their mothers or even in front of girls. “I always tell my son, if he wants to cry, you should, if that’s what you feel,” she said.

For Kareena, allowing children to express what they feel is an important part of growing up. She wants her sons to understand that being sensitive does not make them any less strong. However, after the stabbing incident at Saif’s residence, Kareena and Saif requested the paparazzi not to photograph their children. Meanwhile, Kareena is gearing up for the release of Daayra. The film brings her together with Prithviraj Sukumaran and is directed by Meghna Gulzar. The actress attended the trailer launch with Prithviraj and Meghna on August 31. Daayra is scheduled to release in theatres on September 18.
