The maker of ‘Kantara Chapter 1’ announced on Saturday that she has canceled her Chennai promotion event on Sunday in view of the tragic stampede at the rally of TVK chief and actor Vijay in Karur, Tamil Nadu. At least 41 people lost their lives and many others were injured in the Vijay Key rally. After this, this step has been taken as a precautionary measure.

Production House, Hombale Films has also released a statement on social media and expressed its condolences to the family affected by this tragedy.
