Kangana Ranaut, Vicky Kaushal Heap Praise On Dhurandhar 2 At IFFD 2026: Reflects Spirit Of New India

The  (IFFD) 2026 is being held in New Delhi’s Bharat Mandapam. The Chief Minister of Delhi, Rekha Gupta, has inaugurated the red carpet event of IFFD 2026 on Wednesday (March 25) in the presence of stars like Hema Malini, Sharmila Tagore and so on.

The event was opened to a full house, marking a high-energy start of the film festival. Apart from the veterans, Kangana Ranaut, Vicky Kaushal, Prosenjit Chatterjee, Shweta Basu Prasad and others also attended the event. While interacting with media, Vicky, Kangana and Vivek Oberoi showered praise on Dhurandhar 2, which is creating magic at the box office.

Celebs Heap Praise On Dhurandhar 2 At IFFD 2026

While interacting with the media, Vicky Kaushal, who received a lot of love for Chhaava, mentioned that IFFD is a good initiative by the Delhi government to appreciate the global and Indian films. He also expressed his excitement to watch Dhurandhar 2 in theatres. He mentioned that he is very excited to see the second one, as he enjoyed the first part. He is delighted that the Ranveer Singh film is receiving much love from people.

 

On the other hand, Kangana Ranaut, who is also an MP, stated that the festival will continue till March 31. She praised the Delhi government for realising PM Narendra Modi’s commitment to art and culture. While speaking about Dhurandhar 2, the actress said, “Films like Dhurandhar reflect the spirit of a new India, and there should be more such platforms to showcase this vision.”

 

The Tashkent Files actress Shweta Basu Prasad mentioned that women filmmakers, designers, thinkers, writers, actors and creators have shaped the cinema in their own way. She feels that it is important to celebrate their contributions like people celebrate contemporary women in Indian cinema.

 

Bengali superstar Prosenjit Chatterjee stated that the IFFD 2026 will help young talents. The festival will give talented people hope to survive in showbiz.

 

Vivek Oberoi told ANI that the Dhurandhar 2 team and Aditya Dhar have projected India’s voice globally. He explained how Indian storytelling continues to gain recognition on the global platform.

About IFFD 2026

IFFD 2026 will end on March 31. On the opening day, Sharmila Tagore, Dharmendra and Nandamuri Balakrishna received the Lifetime Achievement Awards for their contributions to Indian cinema. According to CM Rekha Gupta, cinema has the power to inspire, connect and tell stories that become people’s dreams. For the unversed, the opening film of the festival was Sirat, directed by Oliver Laxe. !
