Kamal Haasan told the social media platform X (East Twitter) that today I got the honor of meeting Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi. As a representative of the people of Tamil Nadu and an artist, I made some important requests to him, the most important of which was the appeal to give early recognition to the antiquity of Keladi. Haasan said that he urged the Prime Minister to give full support to the grandeur of Tamil civilization and the efforts to highlight the Tamil language’s timely legacy globally.

Kailadi theme memento gift
Kamal Haasan also presented Modi to a manto based on Kailadi which was a symbol of the archaeological and cultural importance of this historical site. Kailadi is an ancient site located on the banks of the Vaigai River in Tamil Nadu, where evidence of urban civilization of the Sangam era has been found by excavation. However, political conflicts have been going on for a long time between the central government and the DMK (DMK) state government over the findings of Kailadi.
