Family’s annual ritual
Jr NTR and Kalyanram make it a point to visit NTR Ghat every year on the anniversary of their grandfather’s birth and death. This year, dressed in black outfits, the brothers offered flowers and observed silence at the memorial, joined by tight security amid a large fan presence.
Their cousin, politician Nara Lokesh, also paid tribute around sunrise, adding to the family gathering at the ghat. The brothers share a close bond as half-siblings, often uniting for such family honours.
Fan frenzy captured
Multiple videos surfaced online showing the mobbing incident. Kalyanram was mobbed by fans at NTR Ghat, highlighting the actor’s composure amid the rush.
Security pushed through the crowd as fans vied for photos, turning the tribute into a star-struck scene. Despite the chaos, Kalyanram stayed focused on paying respects to NTR, whose legacy in Telugu cinema and politics endures.
NTR’s lasting legacy
NTR starred in over 300 films and founded the Telugu Desam Party, serving as Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister. His grandsons continue his cinematic tradition—Jr NTR recently appeared in Devara: Part 1, while Kalyanram is known for action roles.
