Bollywood actress Kajol has expressed gratitude to everyone who wished her on her 52nd birthday, describing herself as “lucky” to have a loyal and “delightfully crazy” group of people supporting her.
Kajol, who celebrated her birthday on August 5, shared two photographs of herself sitting in the backseat of a car while stuck in traffic and penned a heartfelt note for her fans and well-wishers.
“Not going to sit here and write a whole emotional essay, but I really couldn’t let the day end without saying thank you. To every single person who took two minutes out of their day to send a message, make a video, or just drop some love, thank you,” she wrote.
The actress added that she feels fortunate to have such a supportive group around her and ended the message on a playful note, asking her followers to have a piece of cake on her behalf.
Kajol began her birthday celebrations on a healthy note by heading to the gym and sharing a glimpse of her workout on social media.
Before boarding a flight, she also celebrated with actor Vatsal Sheth, with the two cutting their birthday cakes in the presence of their respective families. Kajol’s mother and veteran actress Tanuja, sister Tanishaa Mukerji, and children Nysa and Yug were among those present during the celebration.
Kajol made her acting debut with ‘Bekhudi’ in 1992 and went on to establish herself as one of Hindi cinema’s leading actresses with films including ‘Baazigar’, ‘Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge’, ‘Gupt’, ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’, ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham…’, ‘Fanaa’, ‘My Name Is Khan’, ‘Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior’ and ‘Salaam Venky’.
