The India Story is an upcoming film starring Kajal Aggarwal and Shreyas Talpade in the lead roles. The film has generated quite an interest with its title and trailer. However, the promotions are low-key in the Telugu states.
Despite being made by a North filmmaker, the film can do well if promoted effectively in the South, especially with Kajal as the face of cinema. The trailer, too, made an impression, and it is important for the film to reach the public down South.
Although Shreyas Thalpade is not a known face for the Telugu audiences, the presence of Kajal could pull crowds to theatres. Kajal is actively promoting the film in North by participating in many interviews, and she should do the same down South, especially in Telugu.
Even though Kajal is not doing back-to-back films in Telugu, she is still considered the star heroine here, and she should make use of this advantage to the fullest.
Billed as a social drama-thriller centered on the devastating public health impacts of toxic pesticides and food adulteration, the film tells the story of a grieving father and a lawyer who embark on a mission to expose corporate negligence and seek justice within a deeply flawed regulatory system.
Directed by Chettan DK and produced by Sagar B. Shinde, the film will hit the screens on 24th of this month.
