During a conversation with Anish Bhagat, Kajal described an abusive relationship in which she says she experienced physical violence. She did not identify the person involved, but said the experience continues to affect her ability to trust people.
Kajal describes violence in a past relationship
During the conversation, Kajal said the man she had loved had physically assaulted her. She made it clear that she did not want to reveal his identity, adding that people had already drawn their own conclusions about who she was referring to.
Kajal recalled incidents in which she said she was thrown to the ground and kicked. She also described an incident involving her hair, saying it was pulled so forcefully that strands came away in her hands.
For Kajal, the emotional effect of that incident was particularly difficult. She said that while some of the physical injuries did not affect her as deeply, seeing her hair in her hands after the assault left her shaken.
