Kaantha Box Office Collection Day 4: Dulquer Salmaan’s Tamil Movie Holds Momentum Despite First Monday Drop

Kaantha Box Office Collection Day 4: Dulquer Salmaan, Samuthirakani, Bhagyashri Borse, and Rana Daggubati feature in Kaantha, which is directed by Selvamani Selvaraj.

The Tamil-language period drama, which is set in Madras in the 1950s, centres on the tumultuous relationship between rising star T. K. Mahadevan (Dulquer Salmaan) and his mentor Ayya (Samuthirakani), a filmmaker whose advice finally turns into conflict. Kaanrga’s first Monday net collections of Rs 15.50 crore indicate a respectable performance for historical drama in the Telugu and Tamil regions.

Kaantha records Rs 1.65 crore on day 4 after earning an estimated Rs 13.85 crore during the first weekend. On Friday, the Tamil-language movie had a great start, and on Saturday, it saw a decent hike. Later on Sunday, Dulquer Salmaan starrer witnessed a minor decline, but Monday’s decline moved the movie into the moderate range. Kaantha kept a decent hold at the box office in spite of all of this.

Kaantha’s total occupancy rate in Tamil Nadu was 12.85% on Monday. The morning shows continued to be on the downside, while the afternoon and nighttime shows saw a progressive increase in footfall. The nighttime performances, in particular, were marginally better. A similar pattern was seen in the Telugu states. Throughout the day, Kaantha’s night show occupancy was 10.91%. While the figures remained below the weekend range, the afternoon and evening shows showed a slight improvement.
