Juventus Secures 2-0 Victory Over Udinese To Maintain Unbeaten Serie A Record

Juventus returned to winning form in Serie A with a 2-0 victory over Udinese, thanks to Maduka Okoye’s own goal and Nicolo Savona’s strike.

After consecutive draws against Inter and Parma, and a Champions League loss to Stuttgart, Thiago Motta’s team delivered a strong away performance. This win keeps Juventus unbeaten in their first 11 Serie A matches this season, a feat last achieved in the 2020-21 campaign.

Juventus took the lead in the 19th minute when Khephren Thuram’s shot hit the post and rebounded off Okoye into his own net. Savona then extended the lead eight minutes before halftime by reacting quickly to Kenan Yildiz’s shot that also hit the post. Despite Udinese improving after halftime, they couldn’t score, with Lorenzo Lucca hitting the crossbar in the 83rd minute.

Savona is emerging as a promising talent for Juventus. At just 21 years old, he is the youngest Italian player in Serie A this season to have scored at least twice. Juventus also boasts two players born after 2003 who have scored multiple goals: Savona (born in 2003) and Yildiz (born in 2005), both with two goals each.

Juventus has maintained an impressive away record against Udinese, securing their third consecutive away win without conceding a goal. This solid defensive performance highlights their strength on the road this season. The team’s ability to secure victories while keeping clean sheets has been crucial to their success so far.

The match showcased Juventus’ resilience and ability to capitalize on opportunities. Their unbeaten streak continues to build confidence within the squad as they aim for further success this season. With young talents like Savona making significant contributions, Juventus looks poised for a strong campaign ahead.
