New Delhi: Justdial has published its annual report, How India Searched in 2025, which is a keen insight into the evolving lifestyles of Indian consumers, which is transforming their spending and how they plan their lives. According to the report, based on millions of searches on the platform, India is more purposeful, digitally orientated, and influenced greatly by young users.
The results are indicative of a two-sided reality. Premiumisation is increasing alongside affordability. Indians are seeking solutions to their daily wants at the same time as improving their lifestyle. Search behaviour indicates the pressure of inflation, hybrid work, careers based on skills, and an increased attention to convenience and wellness, including healthcare and education, travel, and fitness.
Beauty and fitness become a cultural identity
Beauty and Fitness became the most-searched 2025 vertical. Working out nowadays is not a hobby but a way of life. CRI cricket club searches increased by 60 percent, a positive sign of the transformation of the clubs into lifestyle and fitness centres. The fitness centres increased by 50 percent due to the preventive health awareness.
There was also an apparent trend of ‘skinification’ in the year. The cosmetic dealers registered an increase of 42 percent in the searches. A demand was created in the specialised services like cricket turf grounds, make-up artists, karate classes, and men-orientated grooming. The only category of beauty spa that increased by 42 percent was that of men, indicating the changing of male wellness behaviours.
Healthcare searches reflect lifestyle and access concerns
The second most-searched vertical was healthcare. The searches of Ayushman Hospitals increased by 128 percent when the scheme was extended to all old-age citizens. It was a robust step towards universal access to healthcare.
Health concerns that were lifestyle-based also predominated in searches. Spine specialists were observed to increase by 88 percent, and this was closely associated with work-from-home activities. The number of neighbourhood clinics increased by 56 percent, indicating the need to have hyper-local care. The Ayurvedic hospitals and Jan Aushadhi Kendras were gaining momentum as consumers sought cheaper and more evidence-based options.
Skill-first education and flexible work gain momentum
Education searches revealed a distinct shift off the conventional tracks. Digital marketing training increased 42 percent, and overseas education consultancy increased 35 percent. There was also an increase in interest in senior secondary schools and integrated schooling types, which is a sign of early career planning.
There was a change in working habits. The coworking space rentals had shot up 84 percent, with companies and professionals favouring flexibility over a long-term lease. This tendency supported the shift of India to hybrid work and light business models.
Travel, living and urban utility go premium
Changing urban ways of life were emphasised in accommodation and mobility searches. The number of male students staying as guests increased by 76 percent as a result of migration and coexistence. Simultaneously, the volume of requests to individual villas and resorts increased by almost half as much, and it is a reflection of luxury recreation growth.
Travel behaviour matured in 2025. The car rentals of luxury vehicles increased by 90 percent, and the tour operators increased by 86 percent. The Indians were more attracted to professionally guided, stress-free, milestone-driven travel instead of self-guided travel.
India searches with purpose
In response to the report, Shwetank Dixit, Chief Growth Officer at Justdial, stated that the trends indicate muted yet significant changes in daily India. He has noted that consumers are increasingly making specialised decisions and have greater expectations of services.
All in all, the report creates a vivid picture. The service economy in India is hyper-local, digital-first, and youth-dominated. It is not only spending that involves searches. They concern learning, adapting, celebrating, and coping with the modern fast-changing economy.
