Jonathan Bailey, Ella Purnell Starrer ‘Dracula’ Unveils First Look Ahead of Audible Premiere

The makers of the upcoming Audible Original adaptation of Bram Stoker’s classic psychological thriller Dracula have unveiled the first glimpse of the production, featuring an ensemble cast led by Jonathan Bailey and Ella Purnell.

Bailey, known for Wicked, voices Dracula, while Purnell, of Fallout fame, plays Mina. The cast also includes Aimee Lou Wood as Lucy, Louis Partridge as Jonathan, David Jonsson as Dr Seward, Lesley Manville as Mrs Westenra, Johnny Flynn as Renfield, Francis Lovehall as Arthur and Maggie Gyllenhaal as Professor Van Helsing.

The story follows Mina Murray as she searches for her fiancé after he goes missing in Transylvania. As she pieces together letters, diary entries and disturbing testimonies, Mina begins to uncover the predator stalking the people she loves — only to realise that she herself has become a target.

When Mina’s close friend Lucy falls under the mysterious figure’s influence, Mina seeks the help of the enigmatic Professor Van Helsing. Together, they confront an ancient and seemingly incomprehensible threat.

The adaptation explores whether Mina’s intelligence, determination and ability to connect seemingly unrelated clues will be enough to stop the predator before he finds a way into her mind.

Dracula marks the audiobook directing debut of Pet Sematary director Mary Lambert. The production has been adapted by Robyn Ahern, with an original score composed by Ilan Eshkeri.

The Audible Original has been adapted into English, Castilian Spanish, French, German, Italian, Latin American Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese, with each language version featuring a local all-star cast.

The English, French, Italian, Castilian Spanish and Latin American Spanish editions will premiere on October 1, 2026. The German edition will follow on February 9, 2027, while the Brazilian Portuguese version is scheduled for release later in 2027.
