Vande Mataram was discussed in the Lok Sabha on 8 December. During this, BJP MP Anurag Thakur said, Vande Mataram is energy for patriots, whereas it is allergy for some people. He said that Congress is dependent on the support of Muslim League.
New Delhi. On the completion of 150 years of Vande Mataram, discussion is going on in the Lok Sabha on Monday 8th December. During this, BJP MP from Hamirpur, Himachal Pradesh, Anurag Thakur said – When it was the centenary year of Vande Mataram, an effort was made to put the country in darkness by imposing emergency. The then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi had worked to dismantle the country’s constitution. There was no discussion at that time. He further said, Jinnah also had a problem with Vande Mataram and Jinnah’s ‘Munna’ also had a problem with Vande Mataram.
Vande Mataram energy for patriots, allergy for some people
Vande Mataram is energy for us patriots and some people are allergic to it. Now we cannot do anything for those who are allergic, but on the 150th birth anniversary, I would definitely say that the British had a problem with Vande Mataram, Jinnah had a problem with Vande Bharat, Jinnah’s uncle also had a problem with Vande Mataram. Anurag Thakur said, Congress is being supported by the Indian Muslim League (IML) and without its support, Rahul ji and Priyanka ji probably would not have been able to get elected, hence there is a need to seek support.
Vande Mataram is that song which gives speech to the dumb.
Vande Mataram still radiates energy, yet I want to say something in their own language for those people whose minds are closed, whose intellect and conscience have been locked by fundamentalism. Riyaz-ul-Karim was a great Islamic scholar, he wrote an article on Islam and Vande Mataram. He wrote that Muslims were deliberately shown to be opponents of Vande Mataram, so that they could be removed from the freedom struggle movement. He wrote, Vande Mataram is that song, which gives speech to the dumb. Its announcement should breathe life into even the dead. Thakur further said, those who do not feel energized after listening to Vande Mataram are either Congressmen, Communists or supporters of the League.
