In 2010, JDU candidate Damodar Rawat defeated RJD’s Binod Yadav. Rawat got 48,080 votes, while Binod Yadav got 37,876 votes. This time the victory margin was 10,204 votes. This victory had strengthened JDU’s hold in Jhajha.
