2015 elections: BJP’s dent
In 2015, Jhajha’s politics took a turn. BJP’s Ravindra Yadav gave a crushing defeat to JDU candidate Damodar Rawat. Ravindra Yadav secured 65,537 votes, while Rawat got only 43,451 votes. This time the victory margin was 22,086 votes, which marked a strong entry of BJP in Jhajha.
2010 elections: JDU’s hold
In 2010, JDU candidate Damodar Rawat defeated RJD’s Binod Yadav. Rawat got 48,080 votes, while Binod Yadav got 37,876 votes. This time the victory margin was 10,204 votes. This victory had strengthened JDU’s hold in Jhajha.
