Noida International Airport built in Jewar will open soon. It is being connected by road, rail, rapid rail and buses. With 500 electric buses, app-based taxis and multi-modal connectivity, it will become the new aviation hub of North India.

Lucknow. Noida International Airport (NIA) built in Jewar, Noida is now ready to start. A multi-modal transport system is being prepared to connect it with areas like Delhi-NCR, Agra, Aligarh, Mathura, Meerut and Haryana. Its objective is to provide passengers, tourists and industries with a fast, safe and environment-friendly means of reaching the airport.

Better road connectivity ready from every direction

The airport is directly connected to the Yamuna Expressway, making it easy to access from Delhi and Noida. With the construction of Delhi-Mumbai Expressway (Ballabhgarh Link), travel from cities of Haryana and Western India will also become easier. The work of connecting the airport with the Eastern Peripheral Expressway is going on at a fast pace. This will provide direct connectivity to Ghaziabad, Meerut, Palwal and Sonipat. The north and east access roads are almost ready for industrial and freight traffic. Also, the 60 meter wide service road of Sector-28 has been connected to Yamuna Expressway to facilitate smooth movement of local traffic.

Travel to airport will be easy by rail and rapid rail

The DPR of the Regional Rapid Rail (RRTS) project from Delhi to Jewar Airport has been approved by the state government. The Railway Ministry is also preparing to connect the airport with the Chola-Rundhi railway line. Along with this, Jewar station has also been included in the Delhi-Varanasi high-speed rail corridor, which will make long distance travel even faster.

Last mile connectivity will be provided through electric buses

An agreement has been signed with UPSRTC to connect the airport to nearby cities and metro network. Besides, an agreement has also been reached for interstate bus service between Uttarakhand, Haryana, Delhi and Rajasthan. Noida, Greater Noida and Yamuna authorities will together run 500 electric buses. These buses will provide eco-friendly and comfortable travel experience to the passengers.

Cab and car rental services ready for the convenience of passengers

1. NIA Branded Cab (Mahindra Logistics)

NIA branded cab service is being started at the airport by Mahindra Logistics. It will provide passengers with a safe, timely and comfortable travel experience.

2. App-Based Taxi Services

Companies like Uber, Rapido and Make My Trip will provide on-demand cab services. The contract with Ola is also in the final stages. Passengers will be able to avail the facility of cab booking, fare viewing and live tracking from the mobile app.

3. Car Rental Option

The facility of self-driving or hiring cars with driver will also be available for the passengers. Many private companies are ready for this service.

With all these state-of-the-art facilities, Noida International Airport (Jewar) is going to become the largest and advanced aviation hub of North India.
