August 12: Indian women’s cricket star Jemimah Rodrigues believes that the team’s victory in the 2025 ODI World Cup has intensified their hunger for success.
She is excited to replicate that winning spirit in the upcoming Women’s Champions Trophy.
Rodrigues shared her thoughts on JioStar, stating, “We have tasted success once. We know what it feels like to be on top. The more you experience it, the more you want to reach that height again. Our team is working hard for this. The Champions Trophy is going to be very special. It’s the first time for women’s cricket, and I will be a part of it for the first time as well. So, it will be very special. I am really looking forward to it.”
She added, “I believe that in terms of mindset, nothing changes. It’s all about the team, and the team always thinks about winning.”
Before focusing entirely on the Champions Trophy, the Indian team is set to play a multi-format series against South Africa in December, which includes one Test, three ODIs, and .
Regarding the South Africa tour, Jemimah remarked, “It’s definitely going to be an exciting series. Both teams are performing well. We have had a lot of competitive matches recently, and we have played many games against South Africa. When the world’s top two teams face each other in South Africa, it will be a significant challenge. We are truly looking forward to it.”
