Television actor Jay Bhanushali has extended his support to his former wife, actress Mahhi Vij, as she began her new journey as a contestant on Bigg Boss 20.
Mahhi entered the reality show’s house on Sunday. A day later, Jay shared a promo of her entry on his Instagram Stories and encouraged her with a warm message.
“The Don is in the house. All the best. Kill it Tara ki mumma,” Jay wrote.
Mahhi and Jay married in a private ceremony in 2011. The couple became foster parents to two children, Khushi and Rajveer, in 2017, before welcoming their biological daughter, Tara, in 2019.
In January 2026, the couple announced their separation through a joint social media statement. They said they would continue to support each other and remain committed to raising their three children together.
“There is no villain in this story and no negativity attached to this decision,” they had said while announcing their separation.
Despite ending their marriage, Mahhi and Jay have continued to share a cordial relationship and have publicly supported each other.
Meanwhile, speaking exclusively to IANS, Mahhi clarified that her decision to leave her television show Seher Hone Ko Hai was not connected to her entry into Bigg Boss 20.
“I had quit the show long back, and this show came to me just 20 days back. So, it’s not related at all. That exit wasn’t sudden. I wanted to quit the show in January, but it was taking time, and I’m sure the creatives were not ready to leave me,” she told IANS.
Mahhi’s entry into Bigg Boss 20 marks her latest television stint, while Jay’s public message has highlighted the supportive equation the former couple continues to maintain despite their separation.
