Javed Ali pulls out of Dubai concert after FWICE’s objection over Pakistani artists

New Delhi: After Federation of Western India Cine Employees objected to Javed Ali sharing the stage with Pakistani, the singer has withdrawn from the concert.

In a letter sent to FWice has said, “I would like to express my respect for the sentiments and concerned raised by FWICE however I believe there has been a misunderstanding about the nature of the event ”

He added, “I am not performing with Ustaad Ghulam Ali Khan or any other Pakistani artiste and is not a collaborative performance nor am I sharing the stage. And each artiste was scheduled to perform separately. ”

He said, “In light of your communication and gravity with which the issue has been presented. I have decided to withdraw from the concert.

However I do feel that a more thorough understanding of the event format would have helped avoid assumptions about my intentions. As a proud Indian I have always upheld national values and will continue to do so.

It maybe recalled here that actor Kartik Aaryan too had clarified that he was not associated to any event that was to be organised by Pakistani.
