As soon as the Asia Cup 2025 is over, Team India will get directly into Test cricket. The series of two Test matches will begin from October 2 between India and West Indies. For this, the Windies team is coming on a tour of India. This series is starting just 3 days after the Asia Cup final. In such a situation, if Team India reaches this final, will players like Shubman Gill and Jaspreet Bumrah, who are included in this team, will be immediately included for the Test series. Especially star fast bowler Jaspreet Bumrah has the most eye on. But Bumrah himself has told his mind to BCCI about this and has said that he is ready to play in this series.
Team India will be selected on Wednesday 24 September for the Test series between India and West Indies starting on 2 October. This series is part of the World Test Championship, in which Team India needs more and more points. In such a situation, in view of the importance of this series, Team India would like to get on the field with full strong. In such a situation, the strength of the team is sure to increase due to the having a star pacer like Bumrah and in view of this, Bumrah himself has described himself as available for the Test series.
A report by the Indian Express quoted BCCI sources as saying that star fast bowlers Bumrah are available for these two Tests to be held in Ahmedabad and New Delhi. The first Test match of the series will be played in Ahmedabad, which will be only 3 days after the final of the Asia Cup to be held in Dubai. In such a situation, the eyes are whether the selection committee headed by Ajit Agarkar gives a break to Bumrah from this match or gives him rest from the whole series? Or is they selected only for the second Test match?
This decision of Bumrah is very important because he was available in only 3 matches in the 5 -Test series played on England tour recently. During that time there was a lot of ruckus about his workload management and apart from the star bowler, there were questions on Team India Management as to why they are giving him such special permission. In such a situation, if Bumrah is ready to play himself this time, then the decision related to his selection can be quite interesting.
