Jasprit Bumrah 5/10, Kuldeep Yadav 9: India Team’s Report Card In West Indies Test Series

The Indian team sealed a 2-0 series victory against West Indise after a victory in the Delhi Test by wickets at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi on Monday (October 13) despite the visitors putting up a strong fight in the second game after a surrender in the opening game at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

Apart from West Indies’ third innings in Delhi, the Shubman Gill-led side were extremely dominat in the series. They won the first Test match by a huge margin of an innings and 140 runs. Both the Indian batting and bowling unit put up impressive displays to start the home season as the two-time finalist took a big step towards making the final of the 2025 World Test Championship.

Ravindra Jadeja (10/10): Ravindra Jadeja proved why he remains India’s MVP in Tests. He scored a century in his only outing with the bat in Ahmedabad while taking eight wickets that included a four-wicket haul in the series opener.

Washington Sundar (4/10): Washington Sundar also had just one outing to bat, which was in the first innings of the Ahmedabad Test, where he walked out just before India declared and he made nine runs. Sundar took six wickets with the ball over the three innings.

Nitish Kumar Reddy (3/10): Nitish Kumar Reddy did not have much to do as India declared in Ahmedabad before he walked out to bat while he bowled just four overs in the series after not getting a single over in India’s long toil in both innings of the Delhi Test. Kuldeep Yadav (9/10): Kuldeep Yadav finally made the most of get a chance in Test team after sitting on the bench in all five games in England. The wrist-spinner weaved his magic and got 12 wickets including a five-wicket haul in the first innings of the second Test.
