Makhana Kheer Recipe
To make Makhana pudding, first of all, put some ghee in a pan and heat it. After this, add makhana to it and fry it on low flame till it turns golden. Keep it separate in a vessel. Now keep the milk in the same pan to boil according to the need. Keep stirring the milk continuously, so that it does not stick to the pan. After boiling milk, add roasted makhana to it. Mix it well. Keep the flame slow. When the quantity of milk starts getting less and thick, add sugar to it and mix it well. Now add dry fruits like almonds, cashews and raisins. You can also put saffron on it. After this, turn off the gas after cooking the kheer for 5 to 10. Makhana Kheer is ready.
Makhana barfi
To make it, first of all, put ghee in a pan and heat it and after this, add makhana and fry it. After this, take out the makhana in another plate. Now fry cashews in the same pan. Now grind both of them and make powder. Now keep the pan or pan on the gas, add grated raw coconut to it and fry it on low flame for 2 to 3 minutes till it becomes light golden.
Now add ground makhana and add milk according to the need. Cook it while stirring continuously at slow and until the milk is absorbed well. Now add sugar or boora to it. Cook it. After this, add cardamom powder and dry fruits and mix. Now grease with ghee in one plate. Now add this paste to it and add chopped dry fruits from above. After cooling it, cut it into the desired shape.
