Janik Sinner joins Djokovic, Federer in elite list after reaching $50 million milestone

New Delhi: World no.2 Jannik Sinner reached a new milestone in his career after winning the Vienna Open title on Monday. Sinner defeated Germany’s Alexander Zverev 3-6, 6-3, 7-5 in the final to win the Vienna Open crown, clinching his fourth ATP tour title of the season. The Italian ace also unlocked a new milestone in his career earnings after his triumph.

Sinner has enjoyed a remarkable 2025, with two Grand Slam titles, 4 ATP tour titles and three Slam final appearances this year. The Italian won the Australian Open 2025 after defeating Zverev in the final, before going down to arch-rival Carlos Alcaraz in the French Open final.

Sinner exacted revenge against Alcaraz in the Wimbledon final to clinch his maiden title at the All England Club. He has won 22 ATP tour titles in his career so far and has 51 wins to his name against top ten players in his career. The Italian is also unbeaten in 21 matches on hard courts so far this year.

Jannik Sinner crosses $50 million mark

Sinner’s title victory at the Vienna Open this week helped him breach the $50 million mark in career earnings to help him join an elite list of tennis stars featuring the likes of Novak Djokovic and Roger Federer, among others.

The 24-year-old became only the eighth player in ATP and WTA history to cross the $50 million mark, and is only the second player born in the 2000s after rival Alcaraz to have achieved the staggering feat. The 4-time Grand Slam winner has so far earned a whopping $50,460,897 in prize money.

Djokovic leads the elite list, having made close to USD 200 million in career earnings so far. The Serbian legend is the most successful male player in tennis history with 24 Grand Slams to his name. He has so far made $191,117,423 in prize money in his career. He is followed by arch-rivals Rafael Nadal and Federer, both of whom have retired from the sport.
