Bollywood actors Janhvi Kapoor and Varun Dhawan will appear as guests on the third episode of the popular celebrity chat show Koffee with Karan Season 9, following appearances by Salman Khan, Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna.
In a teaser released on Saturday, Janhvi and Varun revealed that filmmaker and show host Karan Johar had stopped talking to both of them at one point. Janhvi, known for her role in Mili, added that the silence even affected her weight.
During the conversation, Karan explained his decision to stop speaking to the two actors, saying, “I was hurt with both of you.”
Janhvi responded, “I gained weight when we stopped talking.”
Varun, meanwhile, accused Karan of being overly dramatic, comparing his reaction to Amitabh Bachchan’s character in Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham. He quipped that Karan had started behaving like Bachchan’s character, referring to the line, “Main bada hoon, haq hai mera.”
The teaser did not reveal why Karan had stopped speaking to the two actors. However, the light-hearted exchange suggested that relations between them have since improved.
Actor Arjun Kapoor also joined Varun and Janhvi for the rapid-fire round, adding another twist to the episode.
When Karan asked Varun whom he would approach for career and marriage advice, the actor immediately named Arjun.
Janhvi was asked to name an Instagram account that was consistently entertaining. She chose Ravi Kishan and imitated his viral punchline, “Money follows my brother!” Arjun also joined in during the playful moment.
Sharing the teaser on Instagram, Karan described the episode as a mix of “madness and love” and teased the appearance of a special guest. According to his post, the third episode of Koffee with Karan Season 9 was scheduled to stream on Wednesday at 7 pm on The Peacock Hub on JioHotstar.
