The AI deepfake controversy involving Janhvi Kapoor has sparked outrage across social media and raised fresh concerns over the misuse of artificial intelligence.
A morphed video featuring Janhvi and linked to her popular ‘Chuttamalle’ song from Devara surfaced online and quickly spread. The incident drew strong condemnation from several celebrities, who called for legal action against those responsible.
Devara star Jr NTR described the video as “disgusting, sick and shameless” and warned those involved that he would pursue legal action. “I will not spare any of you,” Tarak said, urging people not to watch or circulate the content.
Megastar Chiranjeevi and many other celebs also condemned the misuse of AI and highlighted the impact such content can have on a person’s dignity and well-being.
