Jal Jhoolni and Ganpati Visarjan festival at Akshardham Temple

New Delhi: The world-renowned Akshardham Temple celebrated the festival of Jal Jhoolni Ekadashi this morning with great fervor. Alongside, the idol of Lord Ganesha, installed on the day of Ganesh Chaturthi, was also immersed today with deep devotion. On this occasion, many saints, mahants, and a large number of devotees were present.

The Jal Jhoolni festival, also known as Jal Jhoolni Ekadashi, is celebrated across India, especially in North India. At Akshardham Temple, this festival is observed every year in a traditional manner. In the sacred presence of Pujya Dharmavatsal Swami Ji, the celebration was conducted with immense joy and devotion.

Inside the Akshardham auditorium, a grand artificial lake was created, in which the processional idols of Akshar-Purushottam Bhagwan were taken for a ceremonial water ride. Devotees offered their devotion through five aartis and various food offerings made to the Lord.

The program began at 8 AM. A grand procession was carried out with the Lord seated in a palanquin. On this day, Muni Vatsal Swami explained the spiritual significance of the festival in his discourse. The choir group filled the atmosphere with devotion through their soulful presentation of hymns and bhajans.
