According to officials, the accident occurred late night due to a short circuit at the trauma ICU. Trauma center in -charge Dr. Anurag Dhakad said that 11 patients were admitted to the ICU at the time of fire, many of which were severely scorched.
A fierce fire in Sawai Man Singh Hospital
The entire hospital was stirred up after the accident. The relatives of the patients were seen crying around crying to save their loved ones. As soon as the information was received, several vehicles of the fire department reached the spot and the fire was controlled after about two hours of effort. The reason for the fire is considered a short circuit, although a committee has been constituted for an accurate investigation. The patients were taken out by breaking the hospital windows and glasses while extinguishing the fire. There is anger and anger among the family members due to the disappearance of many patients.
Most patients admitted to ICU were in unconscious condition
A hospital official said that most of the patients admitted to the ICU were in a state of unconsciousness. As soon as the fire broke out, the team of Trauma Center, Nursing Staff and Ward Boy immediately came into action. He tried to take the patients out on trolleys. All the patients who could be brought out were immediately shifted to another ward. However, the condition of six patients was very critical. The doctors tried hard by giving CPR to save them, but could not be saved.

Chief Minister reached the hospital as soon as the information was received
Rajasthan Minister Jawahar Singh Beddi said, “The Chief Minister himself reached the hospital as soon as the fire broke out from the short circuit in the ICU. This is a very sad incident. Some patients have died due to fire. Our priority has died and to keep the rest of the patients safe and ensure better treatment.
This incident raises big questions on the security arrangements of the hospital and the preparations for the health department. The family members of the deceased alleged that this tragedy could have been avoided if there were arrangements for security equipment on time.
