Jaipur-Delhi Government Bus Fare: Rajasthan Roadways’ super-luxury (Volvo) bus service on the Jaipur-Delhi route has been currently discontinued.
They have been replaced with AC deluxe (2 by 2) buses since the beginning of May. According to Delhi government regulations, vehicles that don’t meet BS-6 criteria can’t enter the city and hence the decision was made.
Seven luxury buses used to travel from Jaipur to Delhi every day earlier.
According to Hemendra Singh Yadav, Chief Manager of Rajasthan Roadways Deluxe Depot, the department had eight-year-old buses. The Delhi government’s new policy prohibited outdated buses from entering the city.
Deluxe buses will continue to run along this route until new BS-6 buses arrive, with less fare. The fare has been reduced upto Rs 210 to Rs 150 as compared to the super luxury buses. However, there are concerns regarding the their comfort.
According to Hemendra Yadav, the cost of the AC bus that travels directly between Jaipur and Delhi would vary by around Rs 150. The cost of the bus that passes via Alwar will be Rs 540. It used to be Rs 750.
Volvo bus reservations for the Jaipur-Delhi route are no longer available on the RSRTC website. For the time being, passengers will have to use Deluxe or other standard AC buses.
