Dev Adhikari’s DeSu7 is scheduled to hit theatres on October 16, 2026, during the Durga Puja season. The film stars Dev alongside Subhashree Ganguly and marks their seventh on-screen collaboration, which is reflected in the title — ‘De’ from Dev, ‘Su’ from Subhashree and ‘7’ celebrating their seven-film association.
The film has already created considerable anticipation among Bengali moviegoers, particularly because Dev is also directing.
Along with Dev and Subhashree, the project features a strong ensemble cast including Anirban Bhattacharya, Priyanka Sarkar, Rajatava Dutta, Aparajita Adhya and Kanchan Mullick.
The upcoming Kolkata event also carries added significance because of the camaraderie between Jeet and Dev. Dev had earlier shown his support for Jeet’s latest film Keu Bole Biplobi Keu Bole Dakat, which released on August 14, 2026. Dev attended a special screening of the film with his parents and shared a warm moment with Jeet.
Jeet’s Keu Bole Biplobi Keu Bole Dakat is a historical action drama in which the actor portrayed revolutionary Ananta Singh. Directed by Pathikrit Basu, the film released during the Independence Day weekend and became one of the major Bengali releases of the year.
Interestingly, the bond between the two stars has continued beyond their respective film promotions. Jeet had expressed his interest in watching Dev and Subhashree’s DeSu7, while Dev had invited him to watch the film. Now, with Jeet launching DeSu7 trailer in Kolkata, their mutual support is becoming a notable part of this year’s Tollywood buzz.
DeSu7 has entered its promotional phase ahead of its October 16 release, with the makers unveiling songs and promotional material featuring the lead cast. The reunion of Dev and Subhashree, combined with Dev’s directorial debut, has already made the project one of the most awaited Bengali films of the Durga Puja season.
With Jeet stepping in to launch Dev’s DeSu7 trailer, the Kolkata event is expected to be a special celebration of Bengali cinema and the growing camaraderie between two of Tollywood’s biggest superstars. All eyes will now be on the event as Dev and Jeet come together to add another memorable chapter to the festive season.
We reached out to spokespersons for Dev and Jeet but received no comment by the time of going to press.
