The Income Tax Department has raided Jaipur’s Vardhaman Group on charges of tax evasion. In this search conducted at more than 6 locations of the group, crores of rupees in cash and important documents have been seized. This group does business of real estate and educational institutions.
Jaipur: There is news that an IT raid has been conducted on a famous school in Rajasthan, in which crores of rupees in cash have been found. This raid has been conducted on Vardhaman Group of Schools in Jaipur. According to the report, IT officials have searched a total of six locations related to the school. The Income Tax Department has raided more than six locations linked to Vardhaman Group in Jaipur. This group does business of real estate and educational institutions. This morning, IT officials searched the group’s head office located at Vardhaman International School campus in Mansarovar, from where crores of rupees in cash were seized. It is being told that a note counting machine had to be ordered to count the money found here.
Vardhaman Group accused of tax evasion
Vardhaman Group was accused of doing offline cash transactions and tax evasion, after which the Income Tax Department took this action at several locations associated with the group. Officials examined the documents at the group’s head office. Besides, the officials are also checking the bank accounts and properties of the top executives of the group with the digital devices present there. It is reported that searches are also going on at other locations associated with Vardhaman Group.
Earlier yesterday, Income Tax Department teams had inspected the premises of Vardhaman Group and SKIT Educational Institute. After this investigation, searches were conducted in the main offices of Vardhaman Group. According to reports, today IT officials visited the group office and Mansarovar School in Shyam Nagar and seized documents related to irregularities in flat and land deals, cash and real estate documents from the school office. A huge amount of cash has been seized, but its quantity is yet to be revealed.
