New Delhi: Israel on Saturday launched missile attacks against Iran. The Israeli Defence Minister confirmed the attack, calling them “preventive attacks”. Israel’s military said it had protectively sounded air raid sirens in areas across the country “to prepare the public for the possibility of missiles being launched toward Israel” in retaliation.
Sirens sounded across Israel, emergency declared
Meanwhile, the Israel Defence Forces, said that sirens were sounded across Israel following the attack on Tehran. In a post on ‘X’, they said, “In the last few minutes, sirens were sounded all throughout Israel, with an advance instruction alert directly to cellular devices to stay within proximity to protected spaces. This is a proactive alert to prepare the public for the possibility of missiles being launched toward the State of Israel. The IDF emphasizes that the public is requested to stay in proximity to protected spaces.”
Israel has declared a red alert following its attack on Tehran. Israeli media claimed that the attack on Tehran is a joint attack carried out by Israel and the US.
