New Delhi. Police has foiled the terrorist plot to terrorize Delhi on Diwali. On Friday, police said that two suspected ISIS terrorists have been arrested from Delhi, who were allegedly preparing to carry out a blast in a popular mall, public park and densely populated area of South Delhi.
One terrorist arrested from Delhi and the other from Bhopal
According to police officials, both the terrorists named Adnan were arrested after a joint operation in Delhi and Bhopal. One of them is a resident of Sadiq Nagar, Delhi, while the other is a resident of Bhopal, the capital of Madhya Pradesh. Additional Police Commissioner (Special Cell) Pramod Kushwaha said in a press conference, “These arrests have averted a possible terrorist attack in Delhi. These terrorists had conducted recce of several crowded areas including a mall and park in South Delhi and had planned to carry out the attack here.”

Investigation has revealed that these terrorists were planning to target crowded places during Diwali, so that as many people as possible could be killed. Police have recovered a video related to ISIS and photographs of possible target places in Delhi from the accused.
