Is your friend stuck with money? Don’t panic… recovery will happen without a fight like this!

If your friend does not give you a loan, then adopt this technique!

Who doesn’t like meeting with friends? When four friends go out together, the atmosphere becomes different. You don’t even realize when time passes with laughter, jokes, old conversations, tea-coffee or a plate of food. Everything goes perfectly until the bill comes on the table. As soon as the bill comes, there is always one friend among the four who says with a smile, brother, the internet is not working right now or, friend, I don’t have money today, you give it, I will give it tomorrow.

History is witness to the fact that such friends often delay in returning the money. Many times, after reminding two or three times, the money is received, but asking again and again for a small amount does not feel good. There is hesitation in the mind, shame and there is also a fear of spoiling the friendship. This technique is useful. To avoid such uncomfortable situations and reduce mental pressure, technology has now found easy ways. Digital payment apps, bill splitting facility and record keeping features have solved this problem to a great extent. Now there is no need to remind anyone or ask for money again and again.

You will get money back without asking

Actually, major UPI apps like Google Pay, Paytm and PhonePe have a special feature called ‘Split Bill’ or ‘Split Expense’. This feature does the work of recovery brother for you, but with decency. When you make payment for a group, after the payment is successful, the option to split the bill appears on the screen itself. You just have to select the names of those friends whose share you have paid. After this, the app automatically calculates and sends notifications to everyone. The advantage of this is that it is not you who is sending the reminder, but the app. From time to time the app keeps reminding the person in front that “Brother, payment is pending.” With this you do not have to face embarrassment and your chances of getting money increase.

If huge amount is stuck then adopt legal route

The ‘Split Bill’ feature is fine for small expenses, but if you have lent a large amount to someone, be it cash or online, and that person is now clearly refusing to pick up the phone or return the money, then do not hesitate here. The law clearly helps you in such cases. According to legal experts, the first step is to send a ‘legal notice’ through a lawyer. In this, a fixed time limit is given along with the date and proof of taking the money. In most of the cases, people return the money at this stage due to fear of police or court.

You have the option of civil suit

If even the legal notice has no effect, you can file a ‘civil suit’ under Order 37 of the Civil Procedure Code (CPC). This is a summary suit, in which it is mandatory for the accused to reply in the court within 10 days. This process is faster than the normal case. If the matter is more serious and you feel that the other person has deliberately cheated you, then it can take the form of a criminal case. You can file a case under section 420 (fraud) and section 406 (breach of trust) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). There is also a provision of going to jail if found guilty under these sections. One thing is certain, it is your right to demand your hard-earned money, there should be no room for hesitation in this.
