It seems that the trade deal between America and Pakistan is going to be final before India. In this connection, Pakistan Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb left for America late on Monday night. The special thing is that this is his second US visit in two weeks, which is clearly indicated that the deal has now reached the last round.
It is being told that this time Aurangzeb’s visit is for “final conversation”. For this reason, speculations are being made that a business agreement between Washington and Islamabad may soon be approved.
Pakistan Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has already said that the trade deal with America is now very close and it will be finalized in a few days. However, the US State Ministry has not yet stated any official deadline.
Pakistan demands, America removed heavy tax
Currently, there is a tariff of about 29% on exports from Pakistan to America. Now Pakistan wants this tax to be removed and zero tariffs so that its goods can be sold cheaper in America. In 2024, the US and Pakistan had a $ 7.3 billion business, in which Pakistan had a trade gain of about $ 3 billion (Trade Surplus). If the US reduces tariffs, then not only Pakistan’s exports will increase, but it will also give new concessions to American companies for investment.
What does this agreement matter to India?
Clearly, this deal of America-Pakistan will not have any direct impact on India’s economy, because India’s trade with America is many times bigger. But it is not only about business, it is about strategic signals.
In May 2025, when the tension between India and Pakistan was at its peak, former US President Donald Trump claimed that he had offered a trade deal to pacify the two countries. India rejected this claim outright, but now if America first deals with Pakistan, it will be a diplomatic sign for India.

Negotiations between India and America also are in the final stages. According to reports, the agreement between the two countries may be approved in early August.
