US-Iran Peace Deal in Trouble: The peace agreement between America and Iran is in trouble. Despite Pakistan’s efforts, tension regarding Hormuz, Lebanon and Israel is increasing. Know why this peace deal may fail and what are the conditions of both the countries.
Hopes for peace in the Middle East once again seem to be hanging in the balance. On one hand, Pakistan is trying with all its might to broker an agreement between America and Iran, while on the other hand, the situation is becoming such that the deal seems to be falling apart even before it starts. Islamabad has been turned into a fortress, but the question remains, is peace possible despite so much security and efforts?
Islamabad became a fort, 11 thousand soldiers deployed
Tight security arrangements have been made for this important meeting to be held in Islamabad. About 11 thousand Pakistani soldiers are deployed outside Serena Hotel. The government wants to make these talks successful at any cost, but the signals on the ground are telling the opposite story.

4 big signs of crisis on peace deal
1. Tension on the Strait of Hormuz
The dispute regarding Strait of Hormuz has become the biggest reason. There was a promise to open it completely after the ceasefire, but even after 72 hours, strict surveillance continues here. Iran is allowing ships to pass on its own terms, which America has considered a violation of the ceasefire.
2. Trump’s Plan-B and increasing diplomacy
Donald Trump is now working on an alternative plan (Plan-B). Suggestions are being taken from countries in Europe and the Middle East, which clearly shows that America is losing confidence in this deal.
3. Trouble between Lebanon and Hezbollah
Lebanon has become the most complex part of this deal. Iran wants Lebanon and Yemen to be included in the talks, while the US wants to keep them separate. There is also controversy regarding Hezbollah, which is considered a proxy of Iran. Iran fears that if Lebanon makes a separate deal with the US, Hezbollah will be weakened.
4. Opposition to Israel and internal politics
Israel is not happy with this agreement. Former Prime Minister Naftali Bennett has described it as “the worst deal in history”. There is also huge pressure on current Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. In view of the upcoming elections, it will not be easy for them to accept this deal.
Why doesn’t Iran trust?
Mojtaba Khamenei has given a clear message to his fighters that the enemy will not follow the agreement. It is clear from this statement that from within Iran still wants to be prepared for war.
Terms of the Agreement: Who Wants What?
America’s demands:
- Iran should not make nuclear weapons
- Enriched uranium sent out of the country
- Eliminate proxy organizations (like Hezbollah)
- Do not develop long range missiles
Iran’s terms:
- America’s military bases in the Middle East should be removed
- Recognize its control over the Strait of Hormuz
Israel’s strategy:
Israel wants Iran to become so weak that it cannot become a challenge in the region.
There is definitely talk of peace on paper, but the situation on the ground tells a different story. From Hormuz to the politics of Lebanon and Israel, there is tension on every front.
