When asked about the rise of film stars on OTT, Tacker admitted that it could lead to premium projects being divided between Bollywood actors and others like himself, thereby reducing opportunities for television talents. He said, “I feel like more work of the premium content will definitely get divided between actors from Bollywood and actors like me. At the same time, I feel like whatever’s right, as mentioned earlier that you’re good at sensitive obstacles in getting certain roles.”

Karan Tacker also opened up on how looks can be deceiving at times. He noted that while some projects require a more relatable face, looks can frequently influence casting decisions. He said, “Yes, I think it’s quite ironic that an industry that does deal with the exterior of it, you let the way someone looks come in the way of it.” “But I really feel like everything has a creative bend to it. Sometimes, some projects do require- creatively a more relatable face to it and I can understand that why sometimes one wouldn’t fit in a character and one would fit in some character. But yes, time and again, I feel like if you look a certain way, it does come in the way of a part that you’re playing,” he further added.

On the professional front, Karan Tacker recently made his movie debut with Tanvi: The Great. The film premiered at the Cannes Film Festival. Karan opened up on how he felt in Cannes for the first time with the film as an actor. He said, “It was a great experience. When your film goes to such a lovely international festival and you get to showcase it for the rest of the world. So, it was a big surprise and I was really happy that I was in Cannes for the first time with the film as an actor.”
