Kanikka Kapur has become the latest actress to grab the internet’s attention after her appearance in the newly released Batwara 1947 poster. The actress, who stars alongside Karan Deol in the upcoming period drama, has sparked widespread comparisons with Kiara Advani, with many social media users pointing to their striking resemblance. As the poster began circulating online, discussions quickly shifted from the film itself to Kanikka’s looks, with several fans saying they initially mistook her for the Bollywood star. Soon after the latest Batwara 1947 poster featuring Kanikka Kapur and Karan Deol was shared on Instagram, the comments section was flooded with comparisons to Kiara Advani. Several users admitted they initially mistook her for Toxic actress , while others called the resemblance “uncanny.”

One user wrote, “I thought it’s Kiara Advani.” A different fan commented, “For a sec I thought she is Kiara,” and another added, “For a second I assumed it’s Kiara Advani.”

With music composed by A. R. Rahman and lyrics by Javed Akhtar, the film is scheduled to hit theatres on August 14, 2026.
