New Delhi: India’s most successful captain and legendary wicketkeeper-batsman MS Dhoni suddenly said goodbye to international cricket on 15 August 2020. It has been many years since this happened, but Dhoni still rules the hearts of crores of fans. Despite his retirement from international cricket, he is playing for Chennai Super Kings in the IPL. It is believed that Dhoni will once again enter the field for CSK in the 2026 IPL.
44 year old Dhoni still does such wicketkeeping that even young cricketers would feel shy. His fitness is an inspiration for many young cricketers. In such a situation, the question arises in the minds of many people that what does Dhoni eat? Which food does Dhoni like? In this regard, former Team India cricketer and Dhoni’s old roommate Akash Chopra has revealed many secrets.
Do you know what Dhoni likes to eat?
Actually, Aakash Chopra recalled an incident of 2004 in an interview given to Lallantop. At that time India ‘A’ team had gone on tour to Zimbabwe and Kenya. Earlier, a camp was organized in Bengaluru. Dhoni was then the roommate of Aakash Chopra. At that time Dhoni was not that well-known player. He was a simple player from Ranchi. Whereas Aakash Chopra had by then made his debut for Team India and had made his mark. Both of them shared the room for about a month.
Is Dhoni a vegetarian or non-vegetarian?
Aakash Chopra told that he asked Dhoni, “Do you eat veg or non-veg?” Asked this because both of them had to order food together. If both the people in a room are vegetarian or both are non-vegetarian then things become easier. Chopra told Dhoni that he is a vegetarian.
On this Dhoni asked very politely, what do you eat? I replied that I eat only vegetarian food. After this, for the next 30 days Dhoni ate only vegetarian food with me. But later I came to know that Dhoni actually eats non-veg. When Dhoni was with me, he never made any different demand from room service or over the phone. Whatever he got, he would eat silently. Aakash Chopra said that initially Dhoni was a little shy, but he was full of self-confidence.
