Months ago, there were lots of rumours about popular musician Anirudh Ravichander having an affair with the daughter of a businessman.
Internet was abuzz with the rumours of the couple tying the knot soon. Well, Rajinikanth has now certified his nephew as “very eligible bachelor” at the audio launch function of upcoming movie Coolie, organised by Kalanithi Maaran, father of CEO of the Sunrisers Hyderabad.

Speaking at the event, Rajinikanth said, “He is India’s first rock star… Not only in India, but even in South Asia, no one can surpass him… Very eligible bachelor!”
His comments come after rumours of his affair with a popular personality from Tamil Nadu with whom he had an affair for over a year now. They were spotted at popular restaurants in Chennai.
Anirudh Ravichander is Rajinikanth’s nephew-their relationship is through Anirudh’s mother, Lakshmi Ravichander, who is the sister of Latha Rajinikanth, the superstar’s wife. This makes Rajinikanth Anirudh’s maternal uncle.
It may be recalled that Rajini, at the audio launch of Vettaiyan, described Anirudh as a “rockstar” and recalled fond childhood memories, even alluding to having seen leadership qualities in him at a young age. He noted that Anirudh’s music has had a transformative effect on his movies, contributing significantly to their commercial and critical success.
However, the 3 hitmaker had issued a clarification saying, “Marriage ah? lol .. Chill out guys. Pls stop spreading rumours.”
Nonetheless, Anirudh had been linked up with many celebrities in the past including Keerthy Suresh, who tied the knot to her childhood friend Anthony Thatti in 2024, and Andrea Jeremiah.
