Irumudi Day 1 Shocker: Rs 24 Cr Worldwide

Ravi Teja seems to have finally found the box-office start he badly needed.

His latest film Irumudi, directed by Shiva Nirvana, opened strongly on Day 1, collecting around Rs 14.80 crore net in India and approximately Rs 24.20 crore gross worldwide.

For Ravi Teja, who has been struggling with a string of failures, the opening has come as a big relief.

The film reportedly collected Rs 17.20 crore gross in India from around 2,673 shows, while overseas markets contributed another Rs 7 crore gross.

That takes the worldwide Day 1 total to around Rs 24.20 crore.

Second-Biggest Post-COVID Opening

The biggest talking point is that Irumudi has reportedly registered Ravi Teja’s second-best post-COVID opening.

Only Waltair Veerayya, which also featured Chiranjeevi, opened bigger with around Rs 29.60 crore net in India.

For a solo Ravi Teja film, Irumudi’s numbers are therefore very encouraging.

Ravi Teja Finally Back?

The actor badly needs a clean hit after several box-office disappointments.

Early reviews have been positive, particularly for Ravi Teja’s performance, the emotional father-daughter track and the strong second half.

That gives Irumudi a good chance to build further on Saturday and Sunday.

If the film shows healthy weekend growth, Ravi Teja could finally be looking at a proper comeback.

Weekend Is Crucial

The opening has done its job. Now the real test begins.

A strong Saturday jump and solid Sunday numbers could put Irumudi firmly on the success track.

With positive word of mouth and no immediate major Telugu competition, the film has a good window to cash in.

For now, Ravi Teja can celebrate.

After a long wait, the Mass Maharaja has once again delivered a massive opening at the box office.
