Chennai: Services at Chennai International Airport have been disrupted for the third consecutive day on Monday due to war tensions in the Middle East. Flights from Chennai to countries including Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Kuwait, and Muscat have been cancelled.
A total of 36 flights have been cancelled today, including 18 departing flights from Chennai and 18 arriving flights to Chennai. Air services have been affected for the third day due to war tensions in the Middle East. The ongoing war between Iran and the United States and Israel has led to the suspension of flight services to Middle Eastern countries.
Not only flights to Middle East countries, but also flights to Western countries that transit via Dubai have been cancelled. This has caused significant inconvenience to passengers.
Passengers Stranded Across Airports
Due to the cancellation of flights to the Middle East from Delhi, passengers have been forced to wait at the Indira Gandhi International Airport. Many passengers slept there and spent the night. Similarly, passengers were waiting at the Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport in Mumbai. Air services have also been affected in other states across India. Authorities have advised passengers to check with their airlines for updates on flight status and alternative arrangements as the situation continues to develop.
