iQOO 15 Ultra Launched With 144Hz Display, Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, and Gaming-Focused Features: Check Price

IQOO has officially launched the iQOO 15 Ultra in China, positioning it clearly as a performance-first flagship.

From the spec sheet alone, it’s clear who this phone is meant for.

The iQOO 15 Ultra isn’t chasing minimalism or slimness. It’s leaning hard into raw power, sustained performance, and features that matter most to gamers.

A Big, Bright Display Built for High Frame Rates

Up front, the iQOO 15 Ultra features a 6.85-inch 2K Samsung AMOLED M14 LTPO flat display with a 144Hz refresh rate. It supports up to 2600 nits of high-brightness mode and packs a sharp 508 PPI.

This kind of panel makes sense for a phone that’s clearly designed around gaming and media.

Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 and Extra Gaming Hardware

Powering the device is the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, built on a 3nm process, paired with a dedicated Q3 gaming chip. Graphics duties are handled by the Adreno 840 GPU, with LPDDR5X Ultra RAM and UFS 4.1 storage backing it up.

What makes the iQOO 15 Ultra stand out is that the performance story doesn’t stop at silicon. The phone includes an active cooling fan, pressure-sensitive shoulder triggers, and an X-axis linear motor tuned specifically for haptics. These aren’t features aimed at casual users. They’re clearly there for sustained gaming sessions.

Cameras That Feel Secondary, but Still Capable

The camera setup doesn’t try to steal the spotlight, but it’s still solid on paper. The main sensor is a 50MP Sony IMX921 with OIS and CIPA 4.5-level image stabilization.

It’s joined by a 50MP ultrawide and a 50MP periscope telephoto with 3x optical zoom and OIS. There’s also a 32MP front camera for selfies and video calls.

Battery, Charging, and Connectivity Are Doing the Heavy Lifting

One of the more eye-catching specs is the 7,400mAh battery, which is unusually large for a flagship phone. Charging is handled by 100W wired and 40W wireless support, alongside a USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C port.

Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, LHDC 5.0, NFC, and an IR blaster. The phone also features dual speakers, a 3D ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner, and IP68/IP69 water and dust resistance.

At 8.7mm thick and 227 grams, the iQOO 15 Ultra isn’t pretending to be lightweight. It’s clearly built to house everything inside.

Software

The phone runs Android 16 with Origin OS 6.
