Guwahati: Now a new name has come to the forefront in the race for Orange Cap in IPL. This is the name of 15 year old Vaibhav Suryavanshi of Rajasthan Royals. Vaibhav has captured the Orange Cap by playing a stormy inning of 78 runs in 26 balls against Royal Challengers Bangalore. He is now on top after scoring 200 runs in four matches. In this race, he has pushed his own teammate Yashasvi Jaiswal (183 runs) to second place.
Vaibhav has hit 18 fours and 18 sixes in 4 matches so far. His batting average is 50 and strike rate is 266.67, which is really amazing. Against RCB, he completed his fifty in just 15 balls. This is his second fifty this season. Earlier, against Chennai Super Kings also, Vaibhav had scored a half-century in just 15 balls. Dhruv Jurel of Rajasthan is also at third place in the list of run scorers, who has scored 176 runs. Jurel remained not out by scoring 81 runs on 43 balls against RCB and led the team to victory.
